Managed to get a wi-fi connection at our overnight stay, which along with baths in our room are a real boon! The crossing from Mindoro was rougher but the boat was quicker so bounced along the top of the waves (most of the time). Most of us felt tired after the journey but our spirits perked up when met by Jolly and Rene who ferried us to hotel where we saw the Lees for one last time. They had presents for us all from the Jigsaw Team who had spent hours cross-stitching gift tags and had given so much out of so little with some small gifts. We were very moved. Are we looking forward to coming home? To see family and friends yes; to leave our new-found friends is hard and very sad but they will stay in our hearts; to come to terms with the contrasts and contradictions, particularly the poor conditions in the slums and the way people are eated and cheated is especially difficult! Still, we'll have 12 hours on our first flight to mull it all over!!!
