As we arrived At Angeles the 0-6 club was in full swing, basically doing the same as yesterday's as they have the same programme for the week for each club. There was far more room in the Living Streams Church building than the Area 4 building. There were 45 children there this morning but having only one session a week you noticed that their capabilities were not as great as those in Manila where they have three sessions a week, but they were very happy and keen to be there.
They were fed with lunch along with another 50 older children, some that came in on the way to school and others on their way back. They had rice and cheese dogs. It was very moving seeing a little 5 year old pray before the meal for everyone.
In the afternoon the 7+ group met in the building and the 10+ outside. They all run on the same basis of a craft, other activities including literacy and painting, a bible story usually through drama, songs and games, craft and a snack, finishing with prayer.
This project is not as big as those in Manila but is still very worthwhile, the staff have to transport everything out there in the van for each week, but they are so enthusiastic, dedicated and prepared, that their enthusiasm and love overflows into the children.
